    Get your business set for the holidays. To grow your business you need to be visible and online. Learn how to create your own social media posts in this Canva class and workshop. Taught by Teri Morris, founder of ImpulseHub and creator of Website In An Hour and Website In A Week.

    Canva for Business Overview

    This course is broken down into two sections: a class and a workshop. This next course, which is in New Ross, is specifically geared towards helping you and your business with the upcoming holidays. Both the class and the workshop will be held at the Rising Tide Business Centre on Friday, 2nd of November.

    The Class

    The Class will give you an Overview of Canva, how to use it, how to get templates, and how to find free high quality stock photos. We'll create Canva posts too -- as many as you wish in the time alloted. Topics include:

    • Canva Overview - how to use, templates, holiday layouts
    • Where to find royalty free and high quality images
    • Handout of types of posts/examples
    • Christmas digital countdown handout
    • Branding worksheet
    • Hands on time to build posts
    Time: class starts at 9.15am and runs until 12.30pm.
    Audience: suitable for small businesses, startups and solopreneurs who are new to Canva or who would like a refresher.

    The Workshop

    The workshop is designed specifically to help you get your holiday posts done and dusted. You'll be given a handout with a calendar where you can write in themes or campaigns for the coming weeks. You'll also get worksheets to help you better target your posts. With these in hand, you'll be in a good position to create social media posts in the class. We will cover:

    • Basic social media calendar plan
    • Campaign worksheet
    • Lots and lots of hands-on time to build posts!

    Put together your social media plan for the holidays and build it out too with professional looking posts. You'll have help and guidance with your instructor.


    Time: workshop starts at 2pm and runs until 5pm.

    Audience: this workshop for those who have taken the class above, or who are familiar with Canva already, and who want to work on building out their social media posts for the coming holidays.

    Hands on! Here's What to Bring

    The focus of both the Class and the Workshop is Hands On! This is a 'doing' day, not a sit back and listen day. So make sure you come ready to do and get your posts done.


    Bring your laptop, your logo and, if you have specific pictures you want to use, bring those too. We'll show you where you can get free, high quality ones as well.

Who we are

How we collect your personal data

We collect your data from you when you complete our Contact Form, when you make a purchase on our site, attend an event, training or course, or when you call or contact us directly through our website or by phone.  We use this information only in accordance with the purposes outlined in this notice.

We also receive information through referrals and this information is used to enable communication between us and the referred party.

We may also receive information from you at networking events such as if you give us a business card. 

The purpose and legal basis for collecting your data

Any personal data that you provide to us directly, either via our contact form, through a purchase, from attending an event, training, webinar or course, from a networking event, or when you call or contact us directly will be processed fairly and lawfully.

It will be used for the purposes of recording your data, processing a service request and/or notifying you of relevant IMPULSEHUB communications.

The Data Protection Acts allows us to process your data because you have provided your explicit consent.  You are entitled to withdraw your consent at any time.  If you do withdraw your consent, IMPULSEHUB will no longer process your personal data and will take steps to delete all reference to your data securely.

Details of third parties that may process personal data on our behalf (Data Processing Organisations, DPOs).

IMPULSEHUB uses a number of DPOs that process personal data on our behalf. These include (but not limited to) Strikingly, Google (gsuite), Paypal, GoCardless, SumUp, Mailchimp, Email Octopus, One Page CRM, Jotforms, and Eventbrite. We have satisfied ourselves that these DPOs are GDPR compliant, that they will take measures to keep your personal data safe and they will process your information in accordance with Irish and EU law.  

How long we will keep your data

In keeping with the data protection principles, we will only store your data for as long as is necessary.  

Your rights
You have various rights under data protection law, subject to certain exemptions, in connection with our processing of your personal data, including the right to withdraw your consent to processing your data or to using your information to send you communications from IMPULSEHUB.
